Preventing
Child Sexual Abuse

A2A believes that preventing the sexual abuse of children is the job of all adults. Our initiative utilizes Darkness to Lights Stewards of Children program to help adults learn how to keep the children in our lives safe.

Fact

*  One in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually abused before their 18th birthday.

*  According to the Office of Justice Assistance, nearly 2/3 of sexual assault victims in Wisconsin are 15 years old and younger.  Read more of the findings.

 

Awareness to Action is a program of Children's Service Society of Wisconsin with funding provided by Children's Hospital and Health System's Child Abuse Prevention Fund and the Wisconsin Children's Trust Fund.
